Hire Intermodal Drivers

Intermodal drivers are the critical link between rail yards, ports, and final destinations. Our intermodal specialists know container chassis operations, yard procedures, and the often chaotic environment of major rail terminals and port facilities. Intermodal Driver Staffing FAQ

Yes, all intermodal drivers in our port-market pools carry valid TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) cards. For inland rail yard positions that do not require port access, we also have qualified drivers without TWIC who can handle ramp-to-door drayage.
Our strongest coverage is at the top 10 US intermodal hubs: Chicago (BNSF Logistics Park/UP Global), Los Angeles/Long Beach, Savannah, Dallas-Fort Worth, Atlanta, Memphis, Kansas City, Houston, New York/New Jersey, and Seattle/Tacoma.
Yes. Our intermodal pool includes drivers experienced with both inland rail ramp operations (BNSF, UP, CSX, NS terminals) and port container drayage. Specify your needs and we will match the right driver for your terminal type.
Most intermodal positions are local — home daily. Drivers typically start early (5-6 AM), make 3-5 container moves per day, and finish within 10-12 hours. Schedules are Monday-Friday with optional Saturday work during peak volume periods.
Intermodal drivers are paid either per hour ($22-$32/hr) or per mile ($0.55-$0.70/mile) depending on the employer and route type. Some positions also pay per-container bonuses for high-volume days. The pay structure is discussed during placement to match your company's model.
