Samsara trucking in 2026 is a Vehicle Gateway (VG) ELD plus optional AI cameras, GPS, DVIR, fuel, and maintenance in one login. You order through sales — there is no self-serve cart with a public SKU list. Hardware is usually bundled into the monthly, not a $99 Amazon dongle. For a 15+ truck carrier that will actually use coaching and cameras, the premium is explainable. For a one-truck owner-operator who only needs a registered ELD, Samsara is usually the expensive way to satisfy 49 CFR 395.
